2 hard drives

By programs you mean applications or TV programs? Yeah but it would make more sense to have windows and your windows applications on the same HDD and then all the rest can go on the 2nd HDD

applications yes i have a small harddrive i woulod like to put windows on incase it crashes so all my apps are nice and safe on a separate hard drive

It most cases, that's how SSD's are used.

The OS is exe's are on the SSD and the rest of the data on a bigger HDD.

Yeah you can choose to install applications on to a different hard drive.

Yes. Windows would be installed on 1 of your Hard Drives. Then, when you go to install any application, theres usually a "Custom" or "Advanced" button during setup you can click.. this will then give you the option of where you want to save it...

By Default this location would be something like: C:\Program Files\My Program

You would change this to: D:\Program Files\My Program

*Where "D" is the letter of the drive. "Program Files" syntax optional.
