I at first had a 200GB Sata HDD in my PC, but it started to get full so I purchased a 500GB HDD.

I installed the 500GB HDD, all was fine in Windows 7 and it showed the 500GB as a secondry HDD.

I wanted the 500GB to be my main HDD, so I formatted the computer and formatted both HDD's and make the 500GB my main HDD.

Now since I've come back from the format, my secondry HDD isn't showing up.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Check in Device management and see if the 2nd drive appears there (Right click on My computer -> Manage) If it does, then you probably have to create a partition or activate it on there.

It didn't get decteted in the BIOS, I removed the jumper off it and it gfot detected in the bios but still didn't show up in disk management.

I don't think I have a jumper on the 500GB one and I don't know where it is - Could it cause issues?

Cheers

When I put my other 500GB drive in, all I had to was to press F2 go into BIOS, highlight new drive, then press enter to enable it. Your HD must be different to mine, I did not have to touch the jumpers.

You using IDE drives then? You need to check the drives themselves and see what the jumper configuration is for Master and Slave.

*Edit - Just read the OP. As they're SATA, you shouldnt need jumpers on either of them. May be try it in a different SATA Slot
