Hello Guys I really need your help I've never had a lappy and I dont know to much about the in's and out's of them so I will post the specs of the two laptops the first one is an Asus but the other is Clevos, I've never heard of them but they seem to give you good specs.

What I would like to know is what one is the best bang for buck I've got a budget of around £1500, tho I would like to come under that if poss It's going to be used as a gaming machine, As the Clevo is almost double the price is the ATI 6990 going to give me double the performance over the Nvida 555m?

Or can anyone please point me in the right direction for a great gaming laptop that'll last a good few years.

If you are going for longevity then you would have to go for the Clevo.
Currently the 555m is a top-end mid-range card whereas the 6990m is a top-end top-range card. There is a significant leap in performance between the two.

The 555m is likely to struggle on high/max graphics at 1920x1080 but should be able to manage at 1600x900 or with the graphics turned down to medium (or both).
My advice, check out youtube for videos of people playing games on laptops. It gives some idea as to how it will perform. (type in 555m or 6990m in the search should do it).

One option is of course to get the cheaper option, use it for a year and get another one at that time with the latest generation of graphics (600 series for Nvidia?) and processors.

edit. I just realised I wasn't very helpful.
If it was me, I would pick the Clevo simply because you are getting it for gaming, and for gaming bigger is better.
If you were going for portability/battery life and other factors then the Asus (N55?) with Optimus (I assume) would be better

MSI MS-16F2-ID1

Barebone from a certain auction site and built with your own selection of CPU/MEM/Wireless/HDDs. Comes with a GTX570M and should keep you under £1000.
