Nice Titan 8100a Xenomorph but £539.99 - I can built it lots cheaper than that!

Missing the point there bulldog, the cost of building the system, warranty offered, testing and quality control and obviously the time taken to design and test such machines before being released. There is an associated cost attahced to all of the above, it is business.

Not going to bash too much on your own forum but even pricing the Predator here from parts it comes in about £140 lighter. What do we get for the extra money? I could add much more here with price comparisons etc but I'm not trying to make a crappy post.

I'm pretty sure the usual deal when you buy a bunch of kit together is a discount, not paying more. Yes there's testing... of a system without an overclock or graphics card.
There's 12 months warranty... which comes on the parts anyway.
There's forum support etc - this may be excellent but I'm still not seeing it for the price.

A lot of the rest of the advert there is stuff being offered by the manufacturer (eg the windows 8 upgrade) that you are re-badging as your own.

For the price I'd hope for a low end graphics card included, or the OS, not being left to deal with the neutered onboard the HD 2000 is providing. Considering this is basically THE most basic i3 build possible with a couple of fans thrown in, I think over £450 without even an operating system is a little excessive.

Not awkward at all, as above really. We do offer stand alone GPUs as customers do like to choose there own graphics and upgrade. A lot of people buy systems with onboard GFX and upgrade at a later time as sometimes people carry GFX cards between builds, hence why a lot of systems use onboard.

The Onboard GPU on the A10 CPU is nothing to be sniffed at either. I'd also like to mention you do get Windows 7 Home Premium as standard, 64 bit. So you do get the OS!

That looks like no OS included.

That means if you select the option "no operating system selected" have a look at the drop down options. It is the last one of both systems with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit selected as standard.

Return to base warranty, build time, testing, compatibility, system creation/research and most of all peace of mind unfortunately have a cost associated to them.
