2 moniters? bottleneck

do you need 2 gpu's like a amd 6850 crossfire to run just 2 moniters?
could a 6850 run 2 or more moniters?
whats the worst gpu to run 3 moniters?
can a 6950 run 4 screens?
does a bottleneck break a gpu? i have a E6600 and im gonna get a 6950! i know its the biggest bottleneck lol but could it break it? dont see why it would but, im gonna get an i5 2500k hopefully

The cards you mention can run 3 screens each. Look at the back of the card. Usually one of the dvi is shared with an hdmi. Have a flick through the manual, it should tell you what you can connect and where.
