hi all, unsure if this should be in here or the graphics card section, so apologies if chose the wrong one!

i have got a 29 inch Samsung LS29E790C which i am going to have as a second monitor as i am going to buy a new desktop pc and buy probably the 27 inch Acer predator XB271HU as my main display underneath, which has high refresh rate, gsync etc to which the Samsung does not.

So my question is, will the gtx 1080 that i am going to be buying, run these two different monitors, one using gsync the other not, with different refresh rates etc without any problems? I will only be using the new monitor for games not using the Samsung for anything apart from browsing and music production.

Thank you for your time and help in advance

many thanks

Paul

I ran a GTX970 with a Dell S2716DG (G-Sync 144hz) alongside a Dell U2412M (60hz) for ages before I upgraded to a 1080 then a 1080Ti, without any issues.

You may find your idle temps go up slightly due to running both monitors, but nothing to be alarmed about.

Cheers!

Yeah could do suppose as not really going to use anything graphics wise that's king to be demanding, the only thing would be like internet and as well be an extended screen when using fruity loops for music production. Sorry for the noob question here but would it just be a case of connecting to whatever connection is on motherboard for the monitor and use my main graphics card as display port to the graphics card?
