I currently have a dual screen setup using a 9800 se which has 1x DVI, 1x VGA. I use the included DVI-to-VGA converter to allow me to run two monitors off it a 19incg Samsung Syncmaster 913N TFT and a Relisys 17inch CRT. I have another identical CRT which I could place to the left of the TFT to give me a 3 screen setup.

As I understand it I will need another pci video card, but am not sure which to go for to make driver issues as easy as possible. Any recommendations on a gfx card?

What setup do you lot use to run 3 screens?

From experience and from what i've heard from others its pretty random... Some say a card from the same manufacturer works fine, other say this gives conflicts... From personal experience I havent managed to get a second pci radeon to work with my primary radeon, it works but slowly when both cards are active.

I havent had time to look into this recently as I have got rid of one of my monitors for a while so it hasnt bothered me.

ATI cards aren't compatible with Matrox's triplehead2go solutions, unless that has changed recently.

I had a Radeon 9800 Pro AGP working with a Radeon 9250 PCI with absolutely no issues. The 9800 powered the main monitor which I used for games and it seemed fine.

Other solution is if your mobo has integrated graphics, my last mobo had an Nvidia 6150 graphics, ran the 3rd monitor from that and the main 2 from my 7800GTX.
