2 monitors - too much strain???

If you have two monitors does it put too much strain on your graphics card?

What do you mean by strain? If you're gaming you normally use a single monitor so that isn't an issue, and on the desktop you're GFX card is doing next to nothing anyway, even with 2 monitors.

Unless you are running Vista with Aero. I use dual monitors all the time, for video playback under Vista and my 8800 performs smashingly.

Even Aero isn't very demanding unless you're running something pretty low spec (eg. integrated laptop graphics).
