as title, I'am wanting to use 2 mouses! :-) for control off say Straterdy games, sharing main resources off game, but to play as one player and 2 people control there individual resources shared, I will need 2 mice,

Iam on Vista, dont use linux, not a mac user but love the way they can control 2 mice.

I spent a few hours one evening reading up on this I could only find info on doing this on very old operating systems, only seams a lot off programming to do so.

Why cant this be don't done on a PC, "2 mice to independent mouse pointers, each mice controlled by 2 individuals on one PC!...

It quite possibly can be done but it would be a very very limited market, aside from yourself I've never heard of anyone wanting such a thing.

It is possible but only if the specific game supports it. I've only ever heard of one though - IIRC it was one of the early Settlers games where you could use two mice in split-screen mode.

would be useful for dual monitor setups, one in game one at desktop for example.

exactly what I have a dell 27inch and a 32inch Samsung tft TV and it would be ideal with TA springs an freewhere alternative to TA Total Annihalation.

1 monitor for one halve off allocated land, person one etc the other halve off allocated land for the second person monitor 2

using 2 mice is great for anoying others, but i can't see any useful uses as if one hand is less stable then the other and that would result in less accuracy
