2 more shots, from the same shoot as my last upload (here). Images linked to bigger DA page (although still reduced in size for web).

From the Rear of the Tiger

Crazy running child! :) I appreciate the child is a little far away in this shot. However, as I only had my 50mm on at the time it was either leave him there or run at him with a camera and risk arrest (not to mention being run down by the blind corner behind me :D). I had a look at other crops to make his presence greater, but they just seem odd. Plus it would seem a shame to lose the colour.

Glow

This one I'm not too sure on colour-wise. I played around with a few variations and settled on this: any suggestions here are most welcome ;).

The first one does have nice colour to it. Seems like a sunny afternoon in a nice English village. However, the clouds are a little over exposed. As for the second shot, I don't feel like the colour adds to it. The shot doesn't really do anything for me but it does show a nice sense of scale with the teeny parachute guy and the huge demon like clouds.

skorp-,

That's the Tiger in Lindfield! Are you local? :)

It's a nice pic, I like the colours. They seem quite saturated, but not too ott. Looks like something you'd find in a brochure.

The second pic looks quite good, but the dark patches in the clouds look a little over-blown imo. I think it would have been a good scene for an attempt at HDR if there was perhaps a bit more ground in the shot. Interesting colours though ;)

Pretty local! I'm at uni in Brighton and have a car so often go somewhere random.

I might well have another fiddle with the second image soon. You're right about the darkness in the clouds, they're just too prominent. There was originally a lot of ground in the shot, but as I'm a poor student I can't afford a tripod to start fiddling with this HDR technique. I had a quick play in photoshop and it seems like it's going to be pretty useful, although I fear it's going to get overused very quickly
