2 or 8 colour display

Hi

I have a Compaq Presario on which I had to reinstall Win 98. I have to use Win 98 on it due to the software I use on there.

The problem I have is that after reinstalling Win 98 in the display properties it only gives me a choice of 2 or 8 colours.

There doesn't seem to be a graphics driver listed on the support page either http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=95206&

How can I get the display working properly?

Just out of interest, which software package are you using that requires windows 98?

Surely there is a more suitable 'modern' program to do the same job (probably better).

It's software that is used to datalog from certain car ecu's. They never made a newer version to work with xp etc.

Good luck with finding the driver btw. I had a quick look yesterday and couldn't find anything.
