I know I have made quite a few threads over time but I've been having trouble with finance and what final parts I want. Anyway I have a budget this month of around £500-530 to spend on my motherboard, ram, CPU, case and psu. The case and CPU I do not want to change but I need help with the other parts. I already have an aftermarket cooler, the Gelid Tranquillo. I am going to buy a 580 and a Sata HDD next month.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £167.99
1 x Corsair Graphite 600T Midi Tower Case - Limited Edition White £139.99
1 x Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £119.99
1 x OCZ ZS Series 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £59.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £42.98
Total : £547.44 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Thats what I have came up with up to now. I don't know whether the wires on the the PSU will be long enough for the case.

Also I am going to be using an IDE drive from my old PC as a temporary fix till net month and will be buying a converter off Amazon which should last me, if anyone could recommend the best converted it would be a great help.

Thanks to anyone that helps.

Is there really such a thing:D, buy the cheapest you can.

The 24 pin ATX cable is a little short, we would like to see additional 100 mm here. Strangely enough the EPS cable is quite long at 670 mm.
There are four PCIe connectors (two 6+2 pin and two 6 pin) with each one attached in a different length from the remaining cable. We don't recall ever seeing something similar! Also as you will notice from the table above there are no FDD connectors in this PSU. Finally one company decided to get rid of this scarcely used connector. The main problem we spotted in the cables of ZS 750W is the distance among the peripheral and the SATA connectors which is too short, only 85 mm and we also did not like the fact that the wires among these connectors are not sleeved.
Finally, all connectors use 18 AWG wires, the minimum size gauge that ATX spec requires.

StarTech.com 1 Port PCI Express IDE Controller Adapter Card Storage controller- IDE- 133 MBps

I'm going to buy one of them for £13 instead.

What about the Antec True power instead then, I find it hard finding reviews on PSU's for some reason aha. 600T is a pretty big case.

Was the motherboard I chose okay? its a Gen 3.
