Not sure where to put this but now I am working from home, I have my main PC and my work laptop sitting on my case. As I want to work on my main screen, I run the laptop into it via mini DP to HDMI and my main PC runs mini DP to DP. This works fine as I can flick between screens at a touch of a button.
What I want to do is leave my main keyboard plugged into both my main PC and work laptop, without having to plug it in to each when I want to use it with them.
It is very rare that I actually want to use it with both as when my work laptop goes off, I turn my main PC on.
I bought a female to male splitter, but one of the cords has a red mark on it and it does not work, only the non-red one. Now I thought I could just plug the keyboard into the splitter, plug both male plugs into the laptop and PC and be able to use both without moving cables.
What am I doing wrong?
