2 pc's one router, good and bad connections

With orange atm using a live box thingy..

Connect using xp on my laptop and from speedtest get 4881kbs but on my main vista pc get 353kbs...

The upload on the laptop is nealry as fast as the download on the vista pc..?

Both connections are wireless and the connection is ok to the router...

Any thoughts? tried rebuilding the connection on the vista pc but to no avail?

oh and one more thing, the vista pc sometimes is ok and runs at the nearly 5 meg also...

Try using a cable to connect the Vista machine? Would at least remove wireless from the equation.

will stay like this for a few weeks now and then go back to normal... :confused:

What's it like transferring files within the network (don't use Windows Explorer, use FTP or something remotely reliable)?
Tried using DUMeter or something to make sure there's no other activity going on with the machine?
