Is there any way to get open NAT on 2 Pc's at the same time?

Port forwarding is out of the question as it effectively blocks one PC from those ports. I tried an ASUS Rt87U router and It gave both Pc's moderate all the time so I returned it. On my superhub it has port triggering and I have popped some ports in there but not entirely sure if I have done it correctly. Basically I put the same port number in all 4 boxes for port range and port triggers.
I play a lot of Rainbow six and Ghost recon currently and its really difficult to get the chat and gameplay going for us.

Any advice? thanks.

UPnP? May not get both simultaneous but should get them working without changing rules all the time.

Maybe run separate teamspeak like discord?

I have upnp all the time, It will sort itself out if I reboot the router before every game but its annoying to do so.

For comms I use the win10 xbox app and do an xbox party. It uses the skype hi res communication and does the job great.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Are you running a server locally? Are you using wired connections or wifi? If you're just running clients then you don't need port forwarding - the NAT on the router should handle it automatically and by setting up explicit port forwarding you may be causing problems for yourself. And don't forward the same port to multiple PCs. One only.

It's for gaming and team chat. Uplay is pretty much always Strict or moderate at best and it really affects us.

Upnp is On., now using VM superhub as the asus went back.

Both PCs are wired, port forwarding is not viable

Cheers

Are you sure this isn't a firewall issue?

How is it an "issue" with the firewall, incoming unexpected connections are coming to a destination address via port "X" and the OP wants them to go to either IP 1 or IP 2? The firewall is doing what it's supposed to do. It's just very inconvenient the OP needs it to go to both IP's 1 & 2.

I'm starting to wonder if it's easier just to use something like Hamachi, my brother used that with his friends as all the port forwarding was a big hassle.

Never heard of Hamachi, will have a look though.

Basically we used to play console and never really had issues. Now on PC it feels so inconvenient at times and really chips away at what limited time we get after putting the kids to bed.
Im all for buying a decent router again, if it solves the issue I don't mind forking out the cash but the ASUS one was supposed to be the bells and whistles device and while its wifi performance might have given signal to the moon, thats not really what I wanted.
I know netgear have a nighthawk one which people say gives multiple consoles and PS4 all open NAT but no one seems to have multiple PC's in house.

Strangely (or not) Uplay seems to be the worst candidate and I have had some corrospondance with tech support. Unsurprisingly after a few exchanges I was told it was the router at fault, ASUS blamed Ubisoft

Actually, I may have found a viable solution. A google search today returned a post made by a VM customer a couple of weeks back having the exact same issue. His fix was to use a Google public DNS. This sounds like my best bet and I will try to impliment tonight.

here is the site from google https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

What do you think? Any downsides to this in the way of security?

Thanks for all help and suggestions thus far :)

Changing your DNS server won't alter how the router handles inbound connections.

Im not massively clued up on network configurations to be fair, I kinda just pluck ideas from the web and swing.

Anyway, I changed my DNS on windows as the superhubs are locked down for that and first thoughts are quite promising. Currently only 1 PC running but went straight in at Moderate NAT for uplay and Open NAT for Xbox Chat on win10.

Probably just a coincidence however so I think Im going to try the netgear Nighthawk 7000 router and prey to the gaming gods it can handle the switching of ports to multiple Pc's.

Because the firewall controls what comes into the PC and what leaves it.

But it's not a problem with the firewall as such though. The firewall isn't operating incorrectly by behaving how it is.

It's a problem for the OP but the firewall is free of guilt here.

Really it's just because OP is trying to map the same ports to multiple internal PCs.

This is why I recommended Hamachi, it's used by a few gamers which creates a VPN between everyone on the same Hamachi network effectively making games think you're all on the same LAN which avoids all that port forwarding faff.
