2 PS5's in one house question

Can someone offer me some help me please?

Had a PS5 since launch, all good.

Bought a Pro upon release, original PS5 was put to one side and Pro became my primary console.
The Pro has my profile on it, plus my son has his own profile on it as well (he's 11)

The original PS5 has sat for a while due to some building work and stuff, son's bedroom is all finished now and the original PS5 is going in there, but I've no idea which is the best way to set it up in terms of profiles, can he use my PS plus account for downloading or streaming games or does he need his own?

Will his profile work on both consoles or is it one or the other? If he wants to buy a game it is linked to my account?
I doubt I'll ever use the PS5 in his bedroom

Sorry for the questions, but I've no idea of the best way to do it!

ta :)

These links should help:

If I'm understanding correctly, it looks like you'd need to sign in on the old console (you may want to set a PIN), enable sharing and offline play on it (you may need to disable this on the Pro first), and then your son's account should be able to access your purchased games and PS Plus catalogues etc on the old PS5. The only problem is that if your son has PS5 save data on the PS5 Pro, they won't be able to transfer that to the old PS5 without being a PS Plus member themselves as the online storage benefit of your subscription isn't shared. They also won't be able to access your games on the Pro without changing the sharing/offline settings back so the Pro then has it enabled instead. If he buys games to download they'd be tied to his account.

In essence they only let you share content on one console at a time. He could still sign in on the Pro and play any games he's purchased, but anything on your account (purchases, PS Plus catalogue games etc) would be unavailable.

As above.

The wife and I both have PlayStations, I log into her ps and set it as my home console, and she does the same on mine. Everything I purchase digitally she can access, including PS plus. We’ve done this for years.

Our kids also have PlayStations and also share their digital library with each other.

All works great
