Hi,

Just a couple of questions ;)

What Power Pack is needed for each setup?

Spec.
i7-4790K (Not Overclocked Yet, But Will be)
Asus Maximus VII Hero Intel Z97
1 x AMD R9 295 X2
1 x AMD Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC
--------------------------------------------
Spec.
i7 920 @3.8
X58 Board
AMD 6950.

Cheers Guys ;)

1st pc a quality 1200w just to be comfortable. 1000w may do it but it would be close to the limit and will have little to no room for overclocking.

2nd pc a quality 500/550w psu would easily be enough. Maybe even 450w as long as it's a really good unit.

Could you or anyone recomend ? i'm not up on Powe supplies :D

Cheers.

PC1 EVGA Supernova G2 1300w. Built by Superflower and based on the Leadex Gold platform but no tacky led's plus a 10 year warranty. Review here.

If you really want a platinum rated psu then the EVGA Supernova P2 1200w. Still built by Superflower and still has the 10 year warranty. Review here.

PC2 Superflower Golden Green HX550w. Only thing is that it's hard wired and not modular.

If you want modular then the Superflower Leadex Gold 650w is a excellent psu plus it's on this week only. It's biggest drawback for me is those awful led's.

An alternative is the Seasonic G series 550w but they are way overpriced and the EVGA's and Superflowers make them look extremely poor value for money.

Cheers,

Is There much differents between the EVGA SuperNova 1200W '80 Plus Platinum EVGA Supernova G2 1300w. which would be the better out the 2.

Cheers :)

100w in favour of the Gold rated 1300w or the extra efficiency of the 1200w platinum. Jonnyguru gave the 1300w 9.7/10 and the 1200w 10/10. He really rated the Platinum 1200w and I think the cables look much better all sleeved in black too. £50 price difference between them though.

Ok, think I get the 1200.

Thanks for your help
