My Dad's recieved a job application in which he is told to fill it in via the computer (word document) and tick appropriate boxes etc. How do you tick the boxes they provide on the document? You can't click in them. I told him it couldn't be done, can it?

Another one is that he wants to scan some printed out word documents and make them into .PDF (smaller file size he says opposed to images). Any free decent software that can do this? He will have also signed them with his signature etc so that will need scanning too.

Cheers. :)

Thing is you can't click inside the box. It's just like a character. I think it's in print only format or locked according to Microsoft website. Ridiculous!

If memory serves there's a option in the right-click menu that allows you to put tick marks (or something like that) in those boxes (I had a form sent through in the past that was like that, but I'm not too sure if what I've said is completely correct).
