2 questions, window kit and white cc

Hi guys, back again.

I've spent the last hour searching for window kits, i.e. perspex sheet, moulding and locking parts. OcUK don't seem to stock them anymore and the only other ones I can find are specific sizes (too small for what I want). I want to cut mine to size. Mapli... that mainstream electricals supplier used to stock the kit I want but they don't have it on their website any longer. Seconds question. White cathode tubes. I found one website that has them but its looks a bit dodgy (http://www.all-ur-mods.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6). Again, OcUK don't seem to sell them, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Personally, i think white cathodes can be great if you position them correctly. Generally i go for an L shape in a case or a backwards L depending on the case. The only case that i have seen that really suits cathodes is the Lian Li A05, part of me wishes i waited and got that case (but hey, if they come in stock, i may just may get one, as i can sell my antec for a good price). Just get good quality ones, akasa ones worked well for me.

Also personally i would not use that window kit. Much better if you buy a acrylic sheet, cut it down to size, and you can do it exactly how you want. Window kits tend to be less thick and therefore isnt as study or stable as if you got the parts and did it yourself. The tricky bit is cutting out a perfect window anyway.

Cheers blackhawk. How does the window fit within the case if you don't buy the kit? What about the molding?

Oh, and any idea where I can get those white cathodes? As OcUK don't sell them I don't see any competition regs being broken...

I'd get rid of the link ayhow, since the site does stock stuff OcUK sells...

White cathodes can be had from lots of places - try googling.

Also, you can get acrylic/perspex/polycarbonate sheet from an online auction place easily enough, and it'll be thicker, sturdier and cheaper.
