just wanting to know what amount of gfx card memory i need to run a led tv at 1900 x1080 primary and a 2nd mon 1680x 1050. gaming on primary usually but often run things in 2nd mon. I currently have a 2 3870 512mb in x fire on a q6600 at 3.2 ghtz 4 gb ram. im quite happy with the cpu n ram my mo bo is a asus maximus formula x38 it has 2 16x pci expres 2 slots. id like the best upgrade possible no time scale I can wait for 28nm if its a big leap ill just have to save up if its not a waste on my rig.
I can not game on high anymore my perfomance is same as a 3870x2 roughly slightly better as my cards have a mild overclock its decent but when playing metro I was out of video ram same with assasians creed 2 and gta 4. I think card is still fine on raw power at lower rez but at 1080 p which my tv runs it cant cut it with 2nd monitor.
I know u cant be exact and everygame will be different i want to prelong my rig as long as possible. my power supply is a corasir hx 620 cheers for the advice
