2 things, completely unrelated, but better than making 2 threads I guess.

1.

My friend purchased a 7600 GS AGP today, seems clockable to about 460MHZ on Core and RAM... how will that set him in gaming? he is the kind of person that is a "yeah, the default settings in the game is fine" and doesnt really play at high resolutions (1280 is the max his 19" monitor does anyways)

Specs will be my old system, Venice @ 2.7GHZ, Nforce 3 motherboard, 1GB ram.

2.

Not a question, but upon using a GF2 MX the other day, it is scary how bad it is. I used it after my X800XT from my older system as I needed to do something in a hurry. MY GOD. It was bad, even scrolling in windows seemed slow! (I admit, they were the drivers that came with windows, as in very old probablly the 40. series or something) but wow.... even video seemed blocky

1. Medium detail settings without shadows, AA or AF should be fine. They'll be some slowdown with the 1GB of RAM, but this should be minimised by running it on medium detail.

2. GF2 was a loooooooooong time ago now...

Also in XP any graphics card will have those problems scrolling etc. Install the drivers and in windows itself at least you'd see no difference to the x800.
