2 versions of windows when i boot up?

hi just formatted my lappy and then installed windows xp pro, on boot up it says i have the choice of two windows xp's? anyone know what that is all about?

Can you log on to both?
Did you install alongside another partition?

Hit start then run......................



Edit C:\boot.ini then delete the offending second line.

The exact same thing happened to me. Fixed it straightaway!

na it was clean install... strange!

That should do it, i have had it before and that rings a bell cheers!

i've had this happen with xphome before, really weird, and i 100% definatly formatted the drive before installing too

yeah me too! i deleted the partion and formatted, but the boot trick worked fine
