2 very different questions

1. I heard somewhere that you can get into a persons computer files if they are on the same network as you by just typing the address of the folder or something like that, is this true? if so how? what i mean is like with his shared folder, but see all his folders and get into them without him knowing

2. I want to install vista but i need another partition to put it on, how do i create this?

not really, thought it would be cool if i could just do it and he be like how you get on my pc etc, and mainly really i guess because im trying to learn as much as possible about computers, and just one little thing i heard you could do but never knew if true and how so firugred i'd ask

The answer is no without exploiting OS security holes. But as Memphis has said, you would be violating the Computer Misuse Act if you knowingly gained access.
