Anyone know of a program that will let me use 2 monitors with 2 desktops, so 2 Windows. First time doing this , big monitor for games, but want extra smaller monitor as a to have same desktop, with all icons and programs, i dont just copy all icons of my main to second do i?

So i want to play BF3 on main screen, but want to have surf some web and do online radio stuff at same time.

i copied some shortcuts , to second one, but if you open them they open up on main screen

And say that i'm in game how would you move you mouse to second screen?

Synergy will do this; It lets you connect desktops with one mouse and keyboard. You basically set up a server on main machine and set up client side on other PC, then move mouse to the edge of main to go on the 2nd desktop.

Have a google search for multi monitor windows software, you should get a lot of results. Have a look specifically at http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/overview/ I used to use this a few years ago, perhaps there is a better option now a days.

You'll have to run BF3 in windowed mode to be able to switch to the other screen to browse, I think at least.

I was thinking about this too after recently getting a new monitor, actually ended up going for a laptop instead.

Costs a lot more, but you get a lot more, 2 screens with independent OS, can devote desktop to gaming and use laptop for browsing music. Can rig up an external HD to both machines using an adapter too.

.

well tried to play bf3, with both screens on, the extra monitor went blank, wanted the extra monitor be playing live stream internet channel.

You often have issues with displaying video on the second screen, I can usually watch the file that's playing when i start but it wont display the next file in the playlist.

Dont want to play in window mode. Been watching live stream of swtor player, he has full screen and second one for livestream editing and music playing and surfing. xsplit? for broadcasting, but dont know he moves from one screen with mouse to another.

Because he probably plays in windowed mode, but the window is maximised to his screen so you can't see the taskbars etc.. As far as I know if you play in actual full screen mode, you can't then go into another program without minimising, in this case, your game.

Trust me, I used to do this exact thing. I had 2 monitors, I would play Eve Online or whatever game on my main 24" monitor windowed, but maximised to hide the bars.

On my second monitor I would have had say a browser open and I could happily move between each window.
