guys..

after putting a new install of windows xp on my pc, i now have 2 windows options on startup

i think its called a partition, but there was 2 of them before i upgraded. when i did windows it asked where i wanted it, so i deleted the main partition and re created a new one in its place..

now.. it used to load up fine without asking me...

but now it asks me to pick one of the partitions on startup..

the spare one (win 2000) doesnt work anyways...

so.. how do i delete the second partition or set it to boot my xp without asking me??

Remove the partition with the busted XP then remove the line in the BOOT.INI in MSCONFIG (click Start > Run > type 'msconfig') that applies to the partition you just wiped.

well in windows you can't merge two partitions, so he'd have a big chunk of missing space

-that program provides an easy to use gui for it, instead of having to boot a linux partition manager

although, in Vista you can :)
