2 x 17" Dual Set-Up

Dual Set-Up

I am looking to throw my old 17" CRT out the window and part with some cash for two 17" TFT's. I will be running them in dual mode on my 7900 GTX.

I use my PC for a lot of word processing, watching movies, browsing the net and playing various games (mainly FSX atm.) so colour depth and quality is an issue. Can anyone recommend any 17" TFT's for me to have a look into buying for this purpose. I might even be tempted to go for 19" if I can get a decent pair for a fair price

Looking at no more than £400 for the set-up.

get a 22" wide screen, you can have two documents up on the page at one time and it will be better for games.

all good. You could get 2 22" ws belineas for £440, i think 17" or 19" is a bit pointless in comparison.

There's the Asus MW221U for under £300 when it becomes available.
There are few reviews at this stage, but it looks good on paper.

You have a good point, 22" widescreen will give me roughly the same veiwing space slightly cheaper.

My biggest concern is how will performance be impacted by having my GFX card sending output to 2 monitors rather than just 1? Is there any impact at all?

After a lot of reading I'm thinking NEC 20WGX2 would be the best value, sure it is only 20" WS but going from 17" it will seem huge. Also the colour quality, contrast, and speed sell it for me.

Anyone got one of these babies?
