2 x 2GB Matched Pairs

I'm currently thinking of building a new system and would like to know people's opinions on memory.

Is 4GB really worth it over 2GB, bearing in mind they'd both be dual channel?

This would be mainly a gaming pc btw

unles you run a lot of apps at the same time, no program/game needs any more than 2GB,even in vista.

4GB is nice - but you're definitely paying a premium for it.
I'm using 4GB, however I'm running 4x 1GB Geil DDR2 memory and that is only because I picked up the better stuff when OcUK were selling it at a ridiculously low price.

If I was buying at today's prices I think I'd stick to 2GB for the time being.
If the money was burning a hole in my pocket I'd probably spend the money elsewhere on the system - graphics, better MB etc
