Have been mulling this over for awhile. Been running 2 x 32" HP Omen attached to a M1 Mac Mini and while the real estate is nice, the contact switching between monitors, bending to see stuff on the farest sides are really starting to grind, and the back is feeling it also.

So been considering switching to one of these Ultrawides but not as big, something like a 49" UW. WHile I do watch stuff, it's mostly a work from home web dev machines, with vlc/netflix playing in the background.

Any thoughts from anyone who moved from Dual to UW?

As a side note a standing desk frame is coming to add to the arrangement

@Gibbs

Yep, during lockdown work bought me 2 27" monitors, which I eventually changed for a 49" UW (pretty much exact like for like swap). That only lasted a few months before I changed that to what I have in my sig.

The benefit obviously is in having no line down the middle, and less cables. To be honest, even though I had some software which helped partition the display to make maximising windows easier, it never quite felt as productive. Gaming was better though, having the extra width.

Based on your requirements, I'd probably stick with having two.

I'll dig out some photos, might help you decide.
