Hi All,

I am of the believe my Enermax Infiniti 720w is more than capable of running a pair of 5870's as the 12v rails can manage just over 60A stable. However, the PSU only has 3 x 6pin PCIe connectors. Anyone here seen or heard of a workaround? I have planning to make a custom cable, but figured I'd ask before blowing it up  I would rather not go out and by another PSU.

Thanks

I run two 5850's of mine without a hitch. Use a molex power leg on its own with a molex to PCI power adaptor for the second card.

had an old rig running SLI and crossfire on this and a similar PSU

Ran out of PCIE connectors so used the Molex convertors as the previous posters mentioned .. everything was fine and stable for about a year or more .. no glitches and no complaints from the guy I sold it to a year ago ... so presume its still working

I had to use a molex adaptor for 1 PCI-E cable.

Im runing setup in sig. And 1 x SSD, 3 Satas, USB = Keyboard, mouse, kaves + any addons like phone, camera etc. Fans well I have 3 x 180s 3 x 120s and run a Coolit 240. I must be pushing it to the limit. But all is sound so far.
