2 x 670 Advice

Complete waste of money if you are using them with the monitor in your sig. A single 670 will do but so would the single 580.

But surely 2 670's will total 4GB and do the job fine ? Please let me know soon as i will cancel one if what you say is right.

it's only worth getting 4GB cards if you are going to get 3 or 4 of them... with 2 cards you will run out of GPU power before VRAM, if you wanted 4GB cards then you are better off waiting for GK110 to come out next year and getting 2 of them

cards in SLI have to maintain an exact duplicate of what is on the main card, so 2GB + 2GB = 2GB effective

If you're going for multi monitor gaming don't get the 2Gb version (based on comments on this forum that 2Gb VRAM doesn't cut it when multi monitors are involved)

Nonsense. In fact the absolute opposite was said!

4GB only worth it for 3 GPU's and above on 670's/680's.

Nope the VRAM isn't cumulative. So 2GB effective.

Going by comments from this forum and me and Rusty that use 5760*1080, 2GB is enough. Please don't advise people to spend more than they should with out doing research. The 4GB cards only become effective when Tri/Quad SLI is being used.

I see people giving this wrong advice a lot!!

I'll be running 2 with 2gb soon. I don't expect to have any issues.

At the moment I'm experimenting with 3x 21'5 TFTs in 5760x1080 res on 3x GTX 670 2GB cards, and sofar in the games tested I haven't met a vram wall.
