2 x gtx 670s?

I notice a difference over 60fps even on a 60hz monitor. 60fps on a 60hz screen with vsync off is very choppy with lots of tearing , 100 fps on 60hz monitor is a lot smoother with less tearing.

What is your current graphics card? You should probably get 1 670 now and then another if you think you need one. Most people who buy the best or multiple cards don't do so because they need them for a game to run well, just because they want them.

If you have a terrible card now you would probably even be okay with something cheaper than a single 670

this is for a new build which i think is high endish and dont want to put less than it deserves in it,my current card is so old it not worth a mention, but youre kinda right i want them but then i also want flawless gaming experience:)
think ill try one for now just now gotta decide 670 or 680.

670 definitely, with a small overclock it matches 680 performance. one of the factory overclocked 670's such as the palit jetstream are already the same speed as a 680 while being a good bit cheaper

appreciate all ya help m8,from what ive researched i cant see a really good reason to pick the 680 over 670 thought maybe i was missing something, guess i just needed some confirmation.
thx

Yea i agree with this, i can definitely feel it run a lot smoother on a 120hz screen

i cant quite put my finger on it but i think that while your eyes might not be able to see the difference the movement of the mouse is smoother @ 120fps vs 60

so would 1 x 670 be able to handle that or do you reckon id need 2?

a single 670 should do 120fps in most games except BF3 and maybe skyrim with mods and uGridsToLoad set to 7 or 9

either way i reckon its essential for you to get a 120Hz monitor if you want to build a seious gaming rig

if thats not in your budget get a single 670 + the monitor then add a 2nd 670 after
