Hi,stupid question but i have 2 x sata hd's both 500GB 1 has Vista HP X64 on it & the other XP Pro.Can i connect both these drives & use F8 to get to the boot menu & choose which operating system i wish to use?I know with 1 drive & 2 opertating systems you can dual boot from the one drive but not sure with 2 hd's.

Sorry if i sound like a noob :)

I bought another harddrive to put Vista on as i didn't fancy the risk of cocking up my XP drive.I quit using vista due to problems with my soundcard but yesterday i reformated my Vista drive & the sound card works fine :) so now i would like to use both.

Ok I do this.

You can use your BIOS's boot selector thing to boot the HDD that you want. Vista's boot loader can boot XP, whereas the reverse is not true. Wouldn't a clue how to set that up. Since I also run Linux on this I use Grub to boot both. You could also use that to select which Windows you want without installing Linux.
