Hi

Following on from my internet problem thread it turned out that one of my sockets in my house was faulty, which affected the internet even when the router was connected to the master socket...

So the faulty socket has been disconnected, however this means I have had to go to the following network topology

(note the laptop currently connects to the netgear router nearest the telephone point)

What I really want to know is....Can I get the 2 netgear wireless routers to communicate with each other wirelessly, as my desktop PC doesn't have a wireless card?

Cheers

Have a look for 'wireless bridging' in the router settings. I don't know off the top of my head of the 834G allows this or not.

One of my routers does, the other doesn't

The one that does is a v3, the one that doesn't is a v2

I have entered the MAC address of the v2 into the v3 router

it doesn't seem to work tho? any ideas?
