Has the 360 team stopped doing updates for playing original Xbox games because i seriously want to play Marvel vs Capcom 2, but im a bit reluctant to buy a PS2/xbox to play it.

And when is the HD DVD player out? and will it make original dvd's look any better or will it be a waste of money if thats all im planning on watching!

cheers

John

They are still working on the games, but i think there has only been 2 updates in the year it came out. (i dont mean only 2 games updated btw lol)
but the xbox is pretty much dead now in general

U wont need the HD-DVD player to make regular dvds look better, iirc the recent update to the 360 now allows upscaling of DVDs from the console itself. So if u are only going to play DVD's you dont need the HD-DVD add on ;)

Im suprised at how quickly the console died. I atleast expected it to be doing a PS2 (having loads of games out and still the most popular console out atm).

Note that the xbox 360 only upscales DVDs if you're using the VGA cable.

Hello XBox 360.
Yeap i know, it had a whole 1 game at TGS this year, think the PS2 had the most. Quite sad really, its almost a forced upgrade. The PSOne took about 2 or 3 years before support stopped.

Ahhh i did not know that lol

99% of 1080i TV's have VGA/DVI so its a null point.

The ones that dont are the early HD tvs, and if you adopted one this early then your probly happy to pick up a newer TV for the full effect.
