currently have a bt homehub but trying to get both of them to be able 2 play online is proving a challenge i have both consoles allowed xbox live ports and static ips but some times we can play on line and some times i cant it just wont connect to xbox live im using the 6.2.2.6 firmware ive heard the newest firmware works but i dont have any options to update it

I don't think this is a time to use x box live to judge Any hardware at all mate. At the mo i would say that it is probably working fine but you are just not connecting like a million other users.
X box live has been fried by a wave of xmas nubs.

Got to be a live problem, there are 2 360,s,a ps3,a laptop, and 2 desktop pc,s in my house, and all work online fine with a cheapo no name router from a well known supermarket.
Though its likely that only 3 of the machines are online at the same time, sometimes more, occasionally all.

Latest firmware for *** hub is 6.2.6.c afaik, try doing a factory reset that might give the update a nudge, also in the hub..
