I have been offered a pair of brand new Zalman Reserators for £160. I think that's a very fair price but I was thinking - could I use one to cool my overclocked E6600 and the other to cool the Northbridge and Graphics cards in my PC?

If so - is it better to run 2 loops with one Zalman doing each loop or lump the whole lot together in series?

System could be something like E6600 @ 3.6GHz, P5N-E SLi, 2 x 7900GTO's

I appreciate i could be impossible/daft, but I just thought I'd ask....

I would say two loops would yield best results, but in the end YOU will have to try this out ;) . One loop for your cpu and on for gfx + chipset sounds like a good plan, so I would go for that. Two rads in series won't always give you much lower temps.

Zalman Reserators are great if you want a very quiet pc, but they don't cool the components nearly as well as an actively cooled res.

You would get better cooling from a single swiftech apex ultra m8.

Yes, but that wouldn't fit in a small case - and the Reserator I had before was genuinely silent.
