According to the Pacer app its about 800. Just googled it and it suggests about 1000.
Suppose it also depends on how fast you're walking and over how many hours that 20,000 is spread out. I assume you'd burn more if that was done in 4 5k stints as oppose to 10 2k stints etc
2 stints, walking along forest track and back, terrain is easy. I'd say 90 mins walking each way. A few people who walk it say it's about 10,500 steps each way give or take.
When I googled it got suggestions of about 25000-27000 step for 1000. I'm just going off the health app on my phone - my days at ~20,000 steps are ~700kcal or just below.
