£20 for windows 8 upgrade

How about if you bought windows 7 upgrade media (student).

Not sure if I want to upgrade until I've had a good old go on it to be honest, it looks poncey.

At this early stage the initial response, is that Win 8 is going to stink as a Desktop OS.

Who knows, maybe people ar not ready for changes, which eventually they wont be able to believe they lived with out.

On the other hand, many of us have found Windows 89 to work very well. The 'Metro' interface is annoying but can easily be customised to work well as a start menu. After a while the lack of a Start Button on the desktop just goes unnoticed as one develops other ways to achieve the same tasks. ViStart offer help by providing a start menu and can be downloaded free.

Given the improvements in all sorts of areas Windows 8 has, it would be silly not to upgrade especially as the price for an electronic update is likely to be around £30.

Are we not all like this for every new version of windows, as we dont really like change. Me for 1 hated win8, but now its growing on me and I think the new start will be better then the old one
