You are going to love it Sukh, got my 20" Samsung on Tuesday and it is amazing. Went from a 17" and can't even imagine going back, love it!

Got the screen, did dead pixel test, and 0 that i saw.

Going to do back light check later at night cos its just too bright.

Any drivers i need to install on the CD they gave, thought it was plug and play?

How does the dell cope in games, its got a 16ms response time and too be quite honest i find my 12ms 17" to be slow in games. Compared to a nice tft anyway. I know the way that different manufacturers rate their panels can be different.

Well the panel is quoted as 16ms G2G, but the same panel in another monitor is quoted as 6/8ms not sure which.
Alas I have left BF2 at uni, so i shall be purchasing BF:2142 tomorrow as im not trekking back to get it, shall let you know how gaming goes.

Will post pics later, just cos I'm happy i finally got a decent panel. Never knew how much difference S-IPS makes over TN, I wouldn't ever go back now.

And thanks to Baddass for helping me make the decision

Nice site. I've had this dead pixel near top-left of my monitor since I got it replaced.. never managed to get rid. :/

Anyone know how to get it to enter "power save mode"? it rotates through colours for some reason, just want it black.
Also the USB ports on the side dont seem to work, whats this USB upload/Download ports on the bottom about?

No one really knows for sure why Dell list the 2007WFP as 16 ms, maybe it's something to do with the period last year when they were selling it with a slower PVA panel. Nevertheless LG Philips, who make the IPS panel the screen most commonly has, rate the panel at 8 ms GTG and I can tell you having owned one for 6 months that it's a very quick screen. It's far quicker than the 8 ms TN panel Samsung 913B I used to own, and quicker than my 8 ms LG LCDTV. It's really lovely for gaming.

The screen is in burn-in mode. Switch it off, then hold (MENU) and (+) and press power on. Now press (-) to enter the service menu and turn off burn in mode.

The screen comes with a lead that connects from the back of the monitor to a USB port on your PC. Without this connected up, the USB ports don't function.

Good choice on the Dell 2007WFP Sukh

I was originally choosing between the Samsung 226BW and the Dell, so glad i went for the Dell as TN looks appalling now i've used a top quality screen.
