Hey guys just started to Stream my games with NVidia broadcasting and noticed when I watch my stream back on my iPhone its delayed by 20sec ? is this normal ?

I feel a little stupid when people chat too me and I end up replying 30sec later ha.

Are you streaming on Twitch? check your settings if you are as they should be a toggle for the delay iirc.

It's fairly normal to have a delay. 30secs seems to be a bit much but that might be party due to the Nvidia streaming adding a few seconds to the delay but you'd tend to expect 10-20 seconds delay especially for smaller streams as the they are run on Twitch's b-grade servers :p

If you want instant response try using Beam.

Suprised you got nvidia streaming to work. Mine was always a stuttery mess no matter the settings.

I have 10mbits upload. It's fine for recording and streaming 6mbits x264 via OBS works fine as well.

And to not ruin this thread, I get about 13s of delay between the gameplay and the stream using x264 OBS

It is, a lot of streamers on " online survival " games actually tend to set a longer delay up to a few minutes even.

For coverage of competitive matches its usual to have a ~2 minute delay, etc. there will usually be atleast a few seconds delay to minimise buffering issues, etc.
