20" to 23"

will i see a nice difference going from my. hp w2007v. to a 23" moniter or should i just keep my trusty hp i am scared if i get a 23" moniter it wont live up to my hp. .with its vivid colors and glossy screen ,with no lag.

Looking at the W2009V it seems to be a decent TN panel, 1680 x 1050 res monitor with a glossy screen.

If you want to make a step up in size then I would personally go with a Samsung TN panel 23-24" monitor. However, if you budget can support it, then going to an E-IPS panel Dell U2311H or a Asus ML239H would be a big step up in image quality as well.
