Hi; I'm trying to decide on a new monitor - decided on a widescreen but now trying to work out which one! Been searching around everywhere, so far two in my price range are

LG L204WT 20"
Cibox C2201D 22"

So about £140-£160

I really cannot pick between these two, let alone all the others!. What leans me towards the 20" is i've heard elsewhere its good for gaming, and the 22" i've not heard bad things from and its bigger, which is good! However, they both share the same resolution, so on the 22" each pixel will be bigger... will this be a noticeable thing? Will the 20" give a noticeable picture clarity improvement or will the difference be negligable? Will text etc, be too small and harder to read on the 20"?

Budget is around £140-£160 as I said, used for gaming and programming, so if there are any other recommendations above these then by all means let me know. Been trying to find the right one for me for 2 solid days now!

Thanks :)

try the HANNS.G 21.6"TFT Widescreen 1680x1050 1000:1 300 cd/m2 5ms HDMI/VGA Speakers 3 monitor your'll have to search for it as you can't list competitors on overclockers.
I just ordered 1 for 141.99 free delivery.

Well it's Hanns G so its not a top name and althought I've heard its good value for money, for gamings its not the best out there.

And the pixel size issue concerns me with 22" over 20"ers - was why I came here to ask if anyone else had experience :)

if anyone can comment on this, I'm wondering about this aswell!

I only have experience of 22", not 20"...

Ive noticed no problems with pixel size, it looks fine to me. Im sure you would notice if you put the two screens side by side...but on the other side of the coin, with a 22" your getting a bigger picture with no extra graphics power overhead...and as I say, it looks fine. I dont think I would swap for a 20" as I would miss the bigger screen size more, rather than apreciate the sharper picture of the 20".....be sure to use DVI rather than VGA adaptor though...DVI is quite a bit sharper.

20" Samsung Pebble. Lovely monitor, so clear, great colours. No dead pixies. DVI and VGA connections. Dynamic contrast is great too.

Highly rec'd.
