20" Widescreen!

Im after upgrading my standard 17" Dell monitor to one of these new popular 20" jobbies which are on the market But im confused on which direction to go in with so many about and full HD around the corner, Im after good all round performance Movies/net/gaming and that will last me a good few years with future hd compatbilaty

Well if you want a fully futureproof monitor you will want one with HDCP (High Def Copy Protection) which allows playback of HD-DVD and Bluray, currently the total number of monitors on the market with HDCP is 1 so its kinda out of the question at the moment, you could buy a HDTV but the resolution isnt great for PC use. So really if you want to buy now I would get any decent 20" screen which at least has a DVI input.
