Want to upgrade my monitor and resolution really, atm I'm using a 17'' tft with 1280x1024 max res,

I have about £250ish budget or should I say what I'd like to spend ;)

I've been looking at a few monitors and quite fancy these,

viewsonic vx2025
dell 2005fpw
or acer 1916ws

the dell is from a company that has ex-demos but theyre quite credible but only give 1 year warranty however, the price of that is about £250 delivered.

but generally I'm after the best for my money, I watch movies and play games a lot.

Help would be appreciated :)

If you can i would defo look at a 20" if you can afford it...the dell or viewsonic are probably both good.

i'd say it would be a shame to settle for the smaller and more restrictive Acer AL1916W since it is based on TN Film technology. A good gamers screen but the other two models offer better all round use thanks to their P-MVA (VX2025WM) and S-IPS (2005FPW) technology used. If you can afford it, i think 20" would be the way to go :)

i'd definitely take it into consideration. However, some 20"WS support 1:1 pixel mapping anyway, so if you wanted to, you could play a game at 1280 x 1024 anyway, and have borders on it. That way it's like playing a 19" screen within a 20"WS :)
