20 Years of PlayStation Infographic

That's pretty cool!

I remember pretty much all of it really. Ridge Racer was amazing on the Playstation (1) I spent 24 hours on it the first day just trying to shave a fraction of a second off the lap times. Wipeout was amazing and Destruction Derby I remember not liking it at first and then it grew on me until and I though it was excellent in the end. Some fantastic games on that list.

think i had all from 95-2003

is it me or were games much better then? or just we had lower standards? i keep hunting around for a game like demolition derby but can never find one.

For me I think it was a bit of both, I went from the Sega Megadrive, playing Sonic to PS1 with Destruction Derby, Resident Evil, GTA and Crash. I was young, didn't expect a game to be a certain standard, if it was fun, I played it, end of.

I do feel some people these days are "gaming snobs" - demanding a solid 60fps etc...

Had all these. I remember first getting the ps1 and only having the demo disk for the first two weeks and still had a great time with that haha.

Edit:^^ yep, didn't really know anything about frames per second then, if I liked a game I would play the hell out of it. Even if it had bugs etc (which games back then rarely did, compared to today anyway) you just didn't care/notice.

Yep remember all of it apart from PS1 Launch year as I was late to the party. Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Crash, Tekken 2 and Wipeout 2097 where my first experiences of PlayStation... coming from a Amiga 500 you can imagine they made quite an impression!

I remember queueing up at midnight for the original PS absolutely fantastic, Ridge Racer, Demolition Derby were some of the best games ever, followed SSX and a load of others on the PS2

So many phenomenal games

Ah Timesplitters. One of the best console shooters ever made, I lost count of the number of hours spent playing that in split screen.

Being a beat'em up and shoot'em up junkie, the PS was a godsend and the reason i bought it. But i'll never forget the first time i played Resident Evil, i felt like games had come of age at last, just something about it struck me.
