Hi. im looking to buy a watch.. no idea what to buy tbh, which brands are the best and can i get a nice silver, moderately "bling" watch for this price?

thanks

At that money you can still get something decent. Personally i'd avoid all the fashion brands, armarni, gucci, etc unless that's your sort of thing.

Christopher Ward

Steinhart

Both of these are better quality brands compared to the equivelent priced fashion brands and imo nicer pieces.

Citizen Eco Drive range, theres some nice ones in that price bracket.

I don't know how good my taste in watches is, my calibre 2100 has done me proud for 4 years and keeps excellent time (solar powered).

Its gone down from fully charged ONCE when I had it in a drawer for some reason, but other than that it is always showing full charge - the technology seems to be very good.

Personally I'd go full bling and get a decent replica Breitling for that amount.

For someone who isn't into watches though that can be a scary amount to spend on a fake. Have a look at the Seiko Monster, moderately bling but incredible quality and value.

I'd recommend staying away from the 'fashion' watches as advised above. I've had a couple in the past (including Armani as one poster suggested) and both managed to break internally.
I currently have use a Tag as my daily watch which is a solid and reliable watch but occasionally wear an old Seiko I've had for almost 10 years now. The Seiko cost around £300 iirc and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, best thing you can do is to stick with the brands that are known for making quality watches, not 'bling'.
