£200 budget what card

add £23 and get this.

Gainward GeForce GTX 285 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card (Includes Terminator Salvation PC Game)

otherwize get a 4890.

oh i forgot i play at 1920 X 1080, does the resolution make a differnce in the card?

as my friend said some cards play better low res while others really excell in higher res.

im playing on a lcd tv so i usually need AA on but my gtx simply cannot hack it no more, the framerate really lowers.

I'd pick a 275 for that money. Not a lot in it between the 4890 and 275 really, but you get PhysX.

2*4870's sounds intriguing...

I would go for the 4890 personally, I am actually thinking about grabbing one of these for my partners new build, because I have heard lots of good things about them, and at the price you can get them for it is a steal...

I'm looking to buy an 8800gtx...if your old one is still perfectly working, and you don't have a home for it I could help you with some funds towards your new card?

:)

It's basically between a 4890 and a GTX275. It's only really personal preference which one you go for, they are both equal in performance (to be fair, the 275 performs better in one game or another, and the 4890 also performs better in one game or another another. They equal out in the end) and both have regular Driver support (nvidia seem to have sped up their driver development cycles a bit).

IMO I'd suggest a 4890. They are still a good 20 quid cheaper than the 275, and for the price of a base 275 you can get a good 4890 which clocks like a beast and runs like the poodle's parts, to pardon my french
