I had £195 worth of high street camera supplier insurance replacement vouchers to spend. I got all excited and spanked them all on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8.

I've got it home and had a fiddle, it seems very nice, but could I have done better with my vouchers had I made a more considered purchase? Have a few days in which I could return it if I have messed up, what do you think?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 is a great compact. It's the only small camera with an Image Stabliser to help reduce image blur.

I vote to keep it !!!

Thanks for the input. It was a tough choice (in store) between this and the Sony W50. Really liked the look and feel tbh, but now I'm home I have that jitteryness I should have had in the shop!

nice camera, but personally would have chosen the w5 just for the manual settings allowing a bit more creativity, but if just taking snaps then its good.

Nice camera and worth keeping but i would have got with a Fujifine pix F10 or if you could find it in your price range an F11.
