I picked up a cheap Cambridge Audio A5 amp last year with the intention of getting some floorstanding speakers. I never got round to actually buying them so i thought i'd pick up some up now. What's the best possible option for £200? Are floorstanding the best option for me or would bookshelves be better? I'd rather have some floorstanders but if anyone has any other suggestions i'd be grateful.

TIA ;)

OK, cheers for the info guys. I'll take a look on the bay but i think i'd rather buy new just to be safe. I certainly can't afford £400 so i might be better off getting some bookshelves. Firstly, any recommendations? Secondly, is it really worth spending £200+ on a set of speakers when they will be powered by a budget amplifier? Is it going to bottleneck the performance of the speakers?

P.S How do i go about getting this thread moved to Home Cinema & Hi-fi?

I've had a quick look on RS but as i'm not too sure what i'm looking for i don't want to end up spending £200 on a pair of crappy speakers.
