£200 for camera

Hi
I have about £200 for a new digi cam. Want something fairly simple to use yet has extra functions for when i want to be a little creative. With vide recording too thats nice quality.

Was just looking about and seen the canon a640. How is that rated or would something else be more suitable ? I want to be able to take nice clear pics of cars, motorsport which sometimes may be in low light conditions. But also nice outside shots etc.

Also, if i decide a tripod would help my shots (which it probably would quite a lot). Can anyone be attached to the bottom or how does it work ?

Tripod mounts are universal across the range.
